Telegram Media Buying for Depick Prediction Platform
Challenge
Depick is a prediction platform for sports betting. During the World Cup 2026, they needed to acquire new users quickly to capitalize on the massive surge in football-related traffic.
The challenge: find Telegram communities where potential users were already discussing predictions, betting strategies, and match outcomes. The audience needed to be targeted, engaged, and ready to convert during the tournament.
We had to act fast - the World Cup window was limited, and every day of delay meant lost opportunities.
Solution
We identified two key audience segments:
- Users of other prediction platforms
- Football fans in club and tournament communities
We compiled a list of 20 Telegram channels and chats of other prediction platforms, and 40 football-focused communities - fan clubs of specific teams, player channels, and league-specific groups.
We reached out to all 60 admins. Prediction platforms refused to advertise a competitor - these were excluded immediately.
Among the 40 football communities, we discovered that 10 belonged to the same media network. We analyzed engagement metrics (views, ER, audience overlap) and selected the 6 best-performing channels from this network.
We negotiated a bulk deal with the network owner and secured placements in all 6 channels. Each ad ran for 5 hours in the top pinned position and remained in the feed permanently.
The campaign was timed to coincide with the most active match days of the World Cup to maximize visibility and conversions.
Results
- 400 new users acquired on the Depick platform
- Cost per user: $1.4 - highly cost-effective for this niche
- Within one month post-campaign, these users placed over $3,000 in bets
- Users continue to be active on the platform, showing strong long-term retention
